擎天判官：我同時要關切的，是你們美國人的「美國式民主」。根據你在一八六一年七月一日到七月四日之間的言論，都顯示出你信仰的所謂民主政治是把government of the people, by the people, for the people中of the people的意思，與緊接而來的by the people, for the people 做主實用意的分開，你的原始觀念顯然是為人民服務的（for the people），被人民選出的（by the people）、治理人民的（of the people）政府，重點是政府是反過來治理人民的。正因為政府又隨時爬到人民的背上，所以呀，把of the people, by the people 三小段平行在一起，並且三呼the people，是蒙混的。記得你說過的另一段嗎？And this issue embraces more than the fate of these United States. Its presents to the whole family of man the question whether a constitutional republic or democracy–A government of the people by the same people–can or cannot maintain its territorial integrity against its own domestic foe. 在這段話裏，你明確的用了a Government of the people by the same people 的表達法，主賓意味，業已明顯：of 後的people是賓的 the people：相對的，by 後的 the people 郤是主的the people ，同一（same）人民，是主，也是賓：該主時主，該賓時賓。在你of the people的政治用意中，of 後面的the people 是賓，既為賓，自與後面的by the people, for the people ，並無強烈平行的意思，把它說成平行的形態，就是瞞天過海了。事實上，在「美國式民主」裏，人民沒有那麼偉大，你們美國人，只得到一點投票時民主而已，但是「投票」不是「計票」，在「計票」上，你們美國支持的右派獨裁者早就說了：「你嬴選舉」，「我嬴計票」（you won the elections, but I won the count ），你人民用手用腳投的票，我一動手計票，我就嬴了。你們美國口口聲聲的民主、支持別的國家實行民主，真相原來如此！
林肯：美國民主縱使有問題，和我的解放文告（Emancipation Proclamation ）也是兩碼事，總不能否認我的解放文告吧？
